Pikake & Pearls: Helen & Randy’s Website

Details of the so-called ‘mystery trip’ have started to fall in place. The concert schedule for you-know-where came out earlier today, and I found a date that looks good: July 27, 2007. I pick that one because of the soloist (Joshua Bell) holds a special place in the story of how Helen and I met.

I sorted through about 30 different hotel and inn listings tonight, and found a nice looking one right in Lenox. Man, so many of these places have 3 night minimum stays, and pretty high weekend rates. All those inn proprietors must do pretty well for themselves, considering how jam-packed the summer months are. I was going to hold off on the reservation until later, but had to book today, after learning that about 70% of rooms are already booked for the entire season!

There’s only one way to do this right, so I guess I have to act fast.
