Pikake & Pearls: Helen & Randy’s Website

As Helen said, we have been pretty busy working together on the solo part and score for the Wong piece. (Hahaha, doesn’t that sound stupid? … “The ‘Wong’ piece). I am excited, anxious, and a little pensive about how things will go this week. Musically, this is definitely the biggest undertaking I’ve, uh, undertaken, yet. you will be fine randy!! (interjects Helen) … Regardless, I’m proud of how Helen and I have worked together, and it means a lot to me that she is jumping into this with me, head first (feet second, she says). I am putting us both in pretty vulnerable positions … mostly her, since she is the ’soloist’ for the piece, but I think this just goes to show that we are determined to make all kinds of things work.
